Committee Goals
The Quality Committee was activated at the February 8, 2006 meeting of the FDRHPO Board of Directors. The charge to the Quality Committee by the Board was to focus first on access to care and then on clinical and administrative standards.
The Quality Committee’s objectives are:
- To identify the opportunities for and barriers to improving healthcare quality and access in the Fort Drum region and;
- To support activities that improve healthcare quality and access for military and civilian residents in the region
The first Quality Standards Committee meeting was held on March 20, 2006 with a six member core group selected to represent the FDRHPO, Fort Drum and Public Health. The Quality Standards Committee was subsequently expanded to include broad representation from the medical community, hospital administration, diagnostic and treatment centers, a perinatal network, health planning, hospital quality improvement, hospital obstetrics, nursing, and urgent care.
