The Basics About The Fort Drum Area
Area: Our area encompasses the 40-mile radius surrounding Fort Drum which includes Jefferson and Lewis Counties, southern St. Lawrence County, and northern Oswego County.
Population: Our population includes 162,000 people. One in four people are affiliated with the U.S. Department of Defense. 115,000 live in Jefferson County and 70 percent live off-installation.
