Q. What is the Model of Care?
A. The Model of Care is a unique military-civilian healthcare partnership that includes Fort Drum and the surrounding community within a 40-mile radius.
Q. What are the advantages to the Model of Care?
A. The men and women of the U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division, their Families, and the surrounding community all benefit through this unique Model of Care. Discover the advantages, here.
Q. If I am affiliated with the military, is accessing healthcare on Fort Drum different than on other Installations?
A. Accessing healthcare is slightly different than on other Installations. You still receive TRICARE-affiliated care (over 95% of physicians within the Model of Care are TRICARE-credentialed). However, you may receive healthcare both on-Installation or at nearby civilian medical centers. Learn more about the Model of Care, here.
