The Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization (FDRHPO), in collaboration with SUNY Upstate Medical University and Lewis County healthcare partners, has launched a targeted public health campaign to increase HPV vaccination rates among youth in Lewis County—currently the lowest in New York State.

This initiative, branded “Bee a Cancer Fighter,” is designed to empower parents with clear, actionable information about the HPV vaccine and its role in cancer prevention. Using approachable, family-centered messaging and visually engaging materials, the campaign emphasizes a simple but critical call to action: talk to your child’s doctor about the HPV vaccine.
