Vital Signs EMS Academy is offering Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits through the Vital Signs Academy.
Each week, new content is released to support all certification levels, including CFR, EMT, AEMT, EMT-CC, paramedics, and instructors such as CLIs and CICs. Course offerings span core, mandatory non-core, and additional topics, ensuring comprehensive coverage of both foundational and advanced clinical concepts.
For the week of May 4, EMS providers can participate in two timely and clinically relevant sessions:
Tick-Talk, Lub-Dub: Lyme-induced Heart Failure
Monday, May 4 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
This session explores the cardiac complications associated with Lyme disease—an especially pertinent topic in New York State—highlighting recognition, pathophysiology, and implications for prehospital care.
Severe Asthma: When to Get Aggressive
Tuesday, May 5 | 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Focused on respiratory emergencies, this course examines when escalation of care is necessary in severe asthma cases, reinforcing clinical decision-making across ALS and BLS levels.
All sessions are easily accessible through the Vital Signs EMS Academy online calendar (www.VitalSignsAcademy.com), allowing providers to select trainings that align with their schedules and professional development goals.
