The ECH / UVM Paramedic Program is still accepting applications for the 2026-2027 Paramedic program.
The Paramedic Education Program is an intensive training program that blends an online learning environment, classroom sessions, lab sessions, and clinical experience to train you for entry-level paramedic roles.
What to Expect
Hands-on clinical training is offered throughout many counties in northern New York and Vermont, in partnership with our regional health care facilities and EMS agencies, to provide you a comprehensive clinical experience.
The Paramedic Education Program provides:
Minimum of 200 hours of training in hospitals
Minimum of 200 hours of training with EMS agencies
Preparation for Capstone Field Internship. This internship will put you in the role as a paramedic team leader for a minimum of 120 hours and is a great opportunity to showcase your knowledge and skills.
When possible, the program seeks out opportunities for you to learn in new ways. Our program includes a cadaver anatomy and procedures lab for paramedic students and EMS providers around the region. This lab allows you the unique opportunity to expand your education beyond books and manikins.
Tuition and fees are approximately $11,000 and scholarships are available.
Applications for the January 2026 class are due December 1, 2025.
