The Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad (OVRS) is currently seeking a full-time qualified BLS, AEMT, or Paramedic to fill an open position in our 911 division, effective immediately. The anticipated start date for this position is April 1, 2026.
Position Overview
The qualified provider must be capable of working in both urban and rural settings and must have at least one (1) year of experience as a provider. This role is ideal for a dedicated EMS professional looking to serve a busy and progressive emergency service agency.
About Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad
The Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad is a progressive Advanced Life Support (ALS) agency that was named New York State EMS Agency of the Year in 2001. OVRS responds to approximately 3,000 calls for service annually.
The fleet and facilities include:
5 ambulances
1 ALS intercept (Fly Car) vehicle
Modern equipment across all response units
A modern facility designed to support efficient patient care and provider comfort
